Garlic Lemon Chicken
Updated: Feb 19, 2021

Hi everybody; here's a little something we have been working on. I wanted to start out by saying that this recipe can be tweaked to your desire. We played around with it a couple of times, and this is what we like best. But as always, do what's best for your and your family, or whoever you might be feeding. This is so simple; modifications can always be made to adjust the recipe to your needs. When we first did this recipe, it was a little too lemony for us, so we adjusted it. Now having said that, you guys might like more lemon in your chicken. This was a fun, simple dish to make, and we all enjoyed it. We did end up adding Alfredo sauce to it at the very end before we served it, and it goes REALLY well with the chicken. We also served it with a bed of vegetables, like the ones in the pictures.
Servings: 4 servings
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 4 hours
Total Time: 4 hours 20 minutes
Ingredients
3 pounds chicken breast
3 tablespoons (sliced) butter
3 tablespoons Italian seasoning
1 lemon
1/2 cup fresh parsley
5 pieces garlic
1 tablespoon cracked black pepper
Instructions
1. So what I did first was I took my cutting board out, placed my chicken breasts on the board, and sprinkled both sides with Italian seasoning and a little bit of cracked pepper.
2. Then , I laid the chicken out in the crockpot. I cut the edges off of both sides of my lemon and squeezed it over top. I then sliced my lemon up and put what was left directly on top of the chicken.
3. I then added butter (sliced into tiny slices) on top of the chicken and lemon slices. I diced some garlic and cut up some fresh parsley to put on top of everything else in the crockpot.
4. I shut the lid and closed it. I cooked the chicken on HIGH for four hours. The chicken was perfect!! Moist and tender, but it didn't fall apart!! For keto, we served my dish with a bed of arugula and tomatoes. For my non-keto family members, we added potatoes and asparagus.
Enjoy! Don't forget to leave us a comment if you like this dish, and be sure to click the heart! Also, leave a comment if you changed anything about this recipe and how that worked out for you! Thank you!!!
